About The Foundation

The Upper Tampa Bay Library Foundation, Inc. was founded in August, 2002 to seek private sector and community support for the Upper Tampa Bay Regional Library in Hillsborough County.

With tax caps, diminishing state and federal funds, and the increasing costs of materials and supplies, new sources of funding must be developed.

The Foundation was formed to seek additional funds for the Upper Tampa Bay Library (now and in the future) and to accept the new challenges we will face in the coming years. Donations to the Library Foundation are tax-deductible as provided in Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation is a 501 (C) (3) not-for-profit organization.

Goals of our Foundation include:

- Expanding the library to meet the community's needs by adding another 10,000 sq. ft.
making the Upper Tampa Bay Library 25,000 sq. ft.

- Improving the library's collection of books

- Helping our library to become "state of the art" so that its services can be
enjoyed by all (e.g., computers)

- Providing additional library services as needed

Toward these goals we solicit donations for immediate needs as well as endowments that will assure the future health of our library system. Click Here To Donate

Thank you for your support!
